I made it most of the way through three weeks of #Dungeon23. Most of the way.
The limitations of using a week planner and working on a single megadungeon caught up with me. So, the megadungeon is... resting. However, after taking a week off, I've decided to continue by doing a single mini-dungeon (5-7 rooms) per week. I've sourced the Stratometaship for thematic ideas. To be fair, the first week I pitched in myself.
- The Clockwork Horror, Antechamber - The entryway to a grand monstrosity whose depths have yet to be delved. Said to be the innards of an immense golem that was buried alive beneath the cobalt dunes of the Azuresea.
I want to take that golem idea and run with it. Fortunately, the planner has a whole page of graph paper that runs alongside the planner, which gives me the idea that the part of the dungeon that sticks out from the desert will be the remains of the golem's head. The entrance will be the nose.
With this, the first passage of Return of D23 is written:
Entrance
The cave mouth is choked with cobalt sands and largely blocked by a boulder that splits the path in two. An unusually hot, moist draft wells up from the bowels of the place...
